The aim of the professional higher education master study programme Music is to give graduates of Daugavpils University and other higher education establishments to:
- to perfect one’s professional artistic and musical pedagogical education;
- to follow and adapt oneself to the rapid development in the sphere of musical education, pedagogy and science in the world;
- by one’s activity to promote the development of cultural environment of Latvia and Latgale in particular.
To achieve the aim of the study programme the following objectives have been set:
- to improve students’ skills in artistic, pedagogical and scientific activities;
- to ensure sustainable unity of students’ theoretical knowledge and practical activity;
- to accumulate the experience of professional pedagogical, scientific and artistic creative work by developing and presenting independent creative projects.
To successfully implement the objectives set, the programme envisages the following directions of activities:
- study work;
- artistic creative work;
- research work.
