The Faculty of Social Sciences was founded on the 1st October 2001, by reforming the Dedpartment of Economics, that in turn was founded in 1991. Although the history of the faculty is not very long, its students have proven themselves to be very competent and knowing emploees in private companies, banks, State Revenue Service, and other institutions. Many of our garduates teach economics at various Latvian highschools.
