Participation in the ERASMUS + programme at Mendel University, Brno

From September 16-20, 2019 the professor of Daugavpils University, Center of Sustainable Education, Dzintra Iliško has participated in the ERASMUS + programme in Mendel University, Brno, Czech Republic. Dzintra has established a cooperation among both partner Universities for the further student and staff exchange and developing future cooperation. Mendel University in Brno is the oldest independent university in the Czech Republic. University campus with a botanical garden that is located at the centre of the city, provides great space for a variety of events for the students. The University has developed Erasmus+ partnership with over 200 universities in Europe and more than 100 bilateral agreements with institutions from all over the globe and offers a wide range of mobility options, possibilities to join international projects and research, as well as to participate in the international conferences and seminars. Dzintra has delivered lectures on sustainable competencies for the novice and practicing teachers, has met the staff members of Mendel University, Institute of Lifelong Learning and discussed the possibilities for the future cooperation and research in the field of sustainable and lifelong education, as well as joined research and expertise in the field of education. Dzintra Iliško discussed the opportunities to publish research in the DU UNESCO international Journals: Journal of Teacher Education for Sustainability (https://content.sciendo.com/configurable/contentpage/journals$002fjtes$002fjtes-overview.xml_ and Discourse and Communication for Sustainable Education (https://content.sciendo.com/view/journals/dcse/dcse-overview.xml_) and cooperation in the editorial board of the journal.
